They used to talk about love and politics. But these things are only in this memory in his old age. Now some people are busy making weapons to fulfill their treacherous plans for power but the poet thinks on time which has changed him completely. The poet contrasts his present from the past remembers those youthful days when many beautiful woman used to run after him and he would also love those beauties. But now in his old age to run after him and he would also love those beauties. But now in his old age no woman turns her face. He thinks that his only enemy is time which has made him old and lonely so  he spits into the face of time with hatred.
